I think the difference between looking for break out stocks and cheap stocks are: one is trading which looks for short term 20% or maybe 100% gain in a couple of days or weeks. The later is investing, you can sit and wait for a couple months or even years. I would put some money in investing, some money in trading, the percentage all depends on your own risk tolerate level and personality.
