I think you're missing some key pieces of information, although the Mossad involvement is well documented. It's a mystery to me how anyone could refer to Powell as a dove. He was one of the key movers and shakers in the first Gulf War, and he moved heaven and earth pumping the second. A wolf in sheep's clothing perhaps, but hardly a dove.
It's also well documented that the Bush Cartel began planning the invasion of Iraq from day one. The Bush appointees consisted of just about all the founding fathers of PNAC, who had been lobbying Clinton for years to invade Iraq. The folks from PNAC felt they needed a "new Pearl Harbor" to launch their program of preemptive attacks. You also have the close ties to defense contractors through Carlyle Group, and the Bush/Cheney oil interests. It would be folly to pretend the windfall profits to those groups as the result of 9/11 does not constitute a primary motive when the amounts looted from our treasury have already topped $200 billion.
Russia and France both had good working relationships with Iraq for oil contracts, and there was nothing but downside for either of them to see the US take control of Iraq's oil.
There's also a fair amount of evidence the invasion of Afghanistan pre dates 9/11. There are two things the evil Taliban had done; shut down the world's largest supply of illegal opium production, and they were also in negotiations with a China based company to install an oil pipeline - the same pipeline Unocal had spent $175 million lobbying for and eventually won after the invasion.
I'll go along with your premise that al Quaida isn't much more than a formless demon of the fantasy super villain variety. I doubt it exists as much beyond a band of scruffy, mush brained idealists, with a few CIA handlers. But if you need an endless war, what better enemy than one that for all practical purposes doesn't exist?
In solving a crime, you need to establish motive, means and opportunity. The war profiteers certainly had a motive, and Israel would have done just about anything for an excuse to see Iraq destroyed.
Israeli owned companies controlled security at the airports, had access to the WTC, had the ability to monitor every phone conversation in the country - including any investigations into the activities of would be hijackers, had access to the highest levels of our government, and Israel had plenty of agents on location. The Bush Cartel had the ability to allow the hijackers into the country, the ability to derail investigations, control of the media, and the ability to delay air response until it was too late to matter.
When Bush usurped control of the US in 2000, he had the opportunity to install his Zionist and war profiteering buddies in positions to make 9/11 happen.
The concept Russia or France had anything to do with 9/11 is absurd. They had nothing to gain, and they didn't have access to the resources to make it happen in the first place. |
