Not to be a downer Peter because I appreciate your sharing the NYT oil article...but since this is an election year, any projections about oil, education, healthcare, terrorism,etc, coming out of the majors like NYT which have their own political agendas...I take with a kilo of rock salt...we all know we need alternative fuel for multiple reasons, better educated kids, a healthier population and freedom from terrorism...imo, journalists on both sides of the aisle will be giving their biased take...doom, gloom, hope, victory...depending on when and how it serves them...as a "liberal"(whatever that means)...grown up the the NYT, I'm wholly disappointed in their highly biased, polarizing reportage these last several years...imo,they only publish what their agenda "see fit to print"...Apparently, their investigative reporters did not see it fit to keep up with the CIA, FBI in the '90's which could have prevented 9/11...or at least print it...
