as marriage, what's your beef?

The real subtext is making homosexuality
mainstream.

That's the real fight.

And the real question is whether the
country, as a whole, is prepared for
homosexual relationships to be placed
on the same footing as heterosexual
marriage. Doing so would suggest
that homosexuality is an equally
conventional and acceptable choice..

Polls indicate the country at large
is not ready to accept that.
