Kerry stands head and shoulders above GW Bush as a man. He has proven that over the cource of his life. GW Bush has political skills but mainly he has family connections and backing. His daddy's connections got him to where he is. GW never had to work hard. Never risked his life. Never invested himself. Never even told the truth about who he really represents. It was Bectel's Geo Schultz who first got GW to run for governor and the Texas energy/pollution lobby that helped him all the way. Now those groups are being richly rewarded, along with Cheney's Halliburton. All in the "family".
