"Our problems in Haiti is a problem created out of neglect."

"Our problems" in Haiti are to help ensure the safety of our Embassy, its personnel, and any Americans who are stupid enough not to have already gotten out. Otherwise, all of Haiti's problems fall into the "somebody else's problem" category.

The word "neglect" implies that we have some sort of affirmative duty with regard to Haiti. We don't. Haiti was never a U.S. colony or territory, we owe them absolutely nothing.
