Mish, I was just a little boy in 1938 and we were living in Texas... On a weekend outing my parents took our family for a sight- seeing in Houston. At the Port of Houston there were about five tramp steamers. They were waiting to load scrap steel, and my Dad said this had been going on for the past few years. He didn't know what was causing this. I watched a steamer low in the water finish loading and depart for Japan. (I didn't know it was Japan at that time.) All these years later, here we go AGAIN !!!
