Has Bush Decided to Lose the Election? This is Plainly

amazing stuff. The sinkhole began with an Immigration Plan that made no one happy, and did not even make sense--potentially alienating everyone from conservatives in border states to low-wage workers, in those states. The hit parade continued with Bush's bizarre performance on Tim Russert's MTP, in which he seemed drugged on Valium to control the mind-gripping fear that clearly dried out his throat and slowed down his brain to a crawl, during the interview. Then came Mankiew's celebration of Job Outsourcing, and yesterday's desperate entry into the swamp of Gay Marriage--by the President!. But the topper, the real cherry on the whole melting cake must be today's fearless touching of the Third Rail of American Politics by Alan Greenspan, who said calmly that SS benfits should be cut to pay for the exploding deficits--which he himself signed off on.

Wow. Anyone who wants to respond to this post from a political gaming perspective would be most welcome--as I find partisan politics deeply uninteresting. What I love to do is analyze the progress of the campaigns and I must say Team Bush has got little pictures of Question Marks (?) dancing above my head, like in a cartoon.

Who is the "genius" behind Bush's re-election campaign?
