Kerry is a major war hero. There's only one level above the Silver Star and that's the Medal Of Honor, Navy Cross type level. Bob Kerrey won that. John's Silver and Bronze Stars are very rare and were received for very courageous acts under fire. Ollie North and General Clark received the same honors. If Kerry were to pick Clark as his running mate that would make a doube Silver Star team.
