I have a stock (called jyra), which has been under short attacks for quite a while (at least people told me) see Subject 10157 The stock is exploding last week (gained about 50%). Partly their has been good news. But it's also told to me that the uncoverd short's are in trouble because of a 100% stock dividend that Jyra announced yesterday (15th august). Stock rose another 17% yestrerday which seems to me a a lot on the news that there will be a stock split. It's told to me that in order to get the stock dividend investors must ask their banks to get the shares in their deposit and that now the uncovered short attackers have to buy the shares. Can you (or anybody else) comment on this and explain to me the games that are played here? Do you think it is attractive to buy more shares at this moment? I do not now anything about these short attacks. Regards Joost.
