Senator John McCain, on the Chris Mathews show yesterday, stated that John Kerry served with great "distinction" as the chairman of the MIA, POW, Senate committee. A job he said was a tremendously difficult one. I just thought I'd point that out BEFORE someone started posting the silly slander that Kerry "sold out" our POW-MIAs; the smear tactic that was used on McCain, and more lately on Kerry, by people who support Bush.

In passing, I'd like to note that it's a little hard to believe that Jake Straw is interested in any "truth." That would be big departure from his historical patterns of smearing any non-conservative issue or politician.

His first post seems to set the standard. Who cares that Kerry "has accepted money and fundraising assistance from executives at the kind of companies he is calling traitorous for moving jobs and operations overseas to avoid taxes?"

What difference should that make? Does Bush, would Edwards, would even Dean have turned down contributions from such "executives?" Is that supposed to mean that Kerry favors offshoring jobs?

With Jake Straw in charge, I suspect this thread would have been more honestly titled, "Help SMEAR John Kerry."
