The big lie is that the tax cuts were necessary to revive the economy. Giving money to the rich doesn't mean they're going to go out and buy that new sofa or car or whatever. Unlike those who live from paycheck to paycheck, the rich buy what they want when they want.

Instead, the tax cuts, along with Bush spending like a drunken sailor, resulted in huge deficits that scare the hell out of anyone with a brain, is killing the dollar and may well result in staggering hardships down the road.
