<But the Russians FAILED to provide any concrete evidence to support their conclusions.> How absurd -- Russia did what any sane government would do -- they asked to see evidence of WMD before they would back an invasion. The US said "we know there are WMD for certain", "we know it for a fact" -- statements we now know to be absolute raw sewage. The Russians were right to ask questions, and the UN inspectors did a heroic and highly effective job. The US invasion and the constant reinvention of new justifications for it is a bloody farce costing us precious lives and an enormous sum of money, while distracting from urgent issues and undermining our national security.
