Nice discussion of housing in this article. northerntrust.com If you look at chart 2, you will see why I focus on New Home Sales ... it is the leading indicator for housing (other than talking to people in the business). This month was not bad, but when housing falls (there is no pent up demand), that will really take down the economy. If the Fed is really intent on intervening in longer term instruments, that will be the point. Best to all!
