<In the Bible, homosexuality is defined among other things as :abomination, unclean, not honoring your body, vileness, something against nature, destructive behavior.>
What part of the bible? Which God (there are several)?:
#1. The God of Jesus, who always preached forgiveness, love, and peace, in all situations, for everyone. #2. The God of Moses, a God of innumerable rules, strict justice, and severe punishment. A God who is an angry old man up in the clouds, watching us very closely, and hurling thunderbolts (or plagues like AIDS) when we disobey. #3. The God of St. Paul (who never actually met Jesus, and who began his career killing Christians). Paul hated women, hated his own body, preached against sex of all varieties, and distrusted all earthly desires.
I'm going to predict, ahead of time, that any support you can find, for your hatred, doesn't come from God #1.
BTW, there is also a lot of scriptural support for slavery, and stoning adulterers. There is support, from both Paul and the Old Testament, for women being veiled (more, actually, than in the Koran). How do you feel about that? |
