Stop shooting from the hip and do a little research. Go to the National Journal website and you will find the following headline:

nationaljournal.com

HOW LEGISLATORS MEASURED UP IN 2003

John Kerry is ranked "most liberal," and some Republicans who normally are among the most-conservative members find themselves keeping company with moderates in National Journal's 2003 vote ratings.

Unfortnuately, access to the National Journal website requires payment. I do not feel inclined to spend $25 for a Daypass to find out what I already know. John Kerry is a liberal. If I may quote Seinfeld, "Is that wrong?" I can't wait for the ADA ratings. This story will have some legs over the weekend.

When Kerry starts moving to the middle in earnest, perhaps he can adopt Ralph Waldo Emerson's comment as a new campaign slogan: "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines."

There are no copyright issues, so you can tell Senator Kerry that he is free to use it. No need to thank me.
