They are internally inconsistent on major and minor matters of factual assertion.

This is something that's always interested me. If the New Testament is a later fabrication, why didn't the authors get their stories straight? Instead they chose to transcribe as best they could from earlier texts, presumably with the knowledge that the texts were at variance with one another, sometimes even contradictory.

Don't you think if they were trying to fabricate a religion they would have gotten their ducks in a row?
