So you are seeing Protestants embracing it and Catholics rejecting it? This is an odd turn of events since Catholics are all about Stations of the Cross and Protestant aren't.

In fact I have pretty much decided not to see the movie. The torture He endured is rather a peripheral to the subject of the Gospel.

As the old song says,

"It is enough that Jesus died
and that he died for me."
