This all gets back to your original post.

Fear of terrorists does more damage than the terrorists. Fearmongers do more damage than terrorists. We should expand the war on terrorism to include a war on fearmongering. Deal with the threat of terrorism just as we deal with the threat from bathtubs--we put non-slip strips on the bottom of the tub, a hand hold on the wall, and we remember to be careful getting in and out. We do not react with fear. Message 19854756
I don't see any evidence at all that we live in a world of fearmongers that go around fearmongering......who are these individuals?

There's no reason to be afraid until they have them and can deliver them. I didn't see anything in the references you provided to lead me to think that they are that far along.

I don't think we can always know whether terrorists have taken possession of terrible WMD, or whether they have the capability of delivering them. That what the various agencies are trying to prevent. So, how do you know for a fact that terrorists do not possess some form of WMD?
The greater risk is to our country--to our way of life, our economy, our freedoms.
Yes to all those things.
I am at greater risk than, say, a Frenchman, because I am an American. I am at lower risk because I don't live in the Pentagon or any other institution that would most certainly be targeted first. Although, I can certainly see subways, malls, restaurants public places being at risk, which, of course, puts the general public at higher risk.
I fear bathtubs much less than terrorists. -g-
