So what? If he was wounded, he earned them. You think he should be shy? I'd have put in for mine, too, if I qualified for them. Is there a procedure for putting in for your purple heart after you've received a wound? I'll bet there is, and that it's a routine one, if the papers have been overlooked.

And if a soldier gets wounded more than once, it's no accident, it's that that soldier been doing dangerous duty. Just like if you get stopped for DWI three times, you've been driving drunk more than three times, and if you've been caught for picking pockets three times, you've picked more than three pockets.

There are plenty of things to criticize Kerry for. Because you love Bush, you are ridiculing a war hero's purple hearts? It's ignominious.
