You have but a mental squint of liberalism. The left is not defined by the things it disparages, but for the realization that people working together can accomplish more than individuals, no matter how angry or cynical. On the other hand, when you look at Bush's positions it is all about the things he doesn't like. He doesn't like stem cells, or sex, or gay people, or married people that don't look like him. He doesn't like muslims, or vegetarians, or smart women, or cedar trees. He's a bitter angry man.
