"Sen. John Kerry and his media boosters are hoping bogus allegations that President Bush went AWOL from the National Guard"

I read about 5% of your post, down to part above which is all spin. It may be true that Junior wasn't AWOL if you define "went AWOL" as being charged and convicted with the crime. The truth is he wasn't there for at least 5 months and that is way longer than enough time for him to have been charged and convicted of being AWOL. A poor person could have easily been convicted of desertion. If he had official permission to be away for all those months then there would have been something in those "complete" records he released. There wasn't.

This spin about him not being AWOL reminds me of right after the last election when James Baker kept repeating every day that the ballots had been counted. He would say they've been counted 3 times, they've been counted 4 times, they've been counted 5 times. He was lying. Everyone with any sense at all knew the only ballots which had been counted were the ones which the automatic counting machines hadn't kicked back out.

Is our children learning?
