I have seen some PBS Nature footage of shocking behavior among dolphins. I forget exactly what it was now, but I remember the feeling of being shocked. One incident was some violent and abusive behavior that appeared capriciously abusive. Then there was some sexual behavior where a couple males took captive and herded a female for sex for quite a long period of time--days. They prevented her returning to the herd, etc. There must be behavioral explanations, but I found both incidents surprising, and a bit shocking to the sensibilities. I'm sure they are adequate examples to us in many respects, though.
