<All those Chinese coming there end up cheaper for the tax payer than to make indigenous babies!!!>
You are right. They are much cheaper, are ready to produce economic output, are better quality [in economic respects - the main child production lines are running low quality output, many of whom end up in social welfare or prison].
But that doesn't mean it's good to just import any Chinese [or Koreans, Afghans, Indians, Sri Lankans, Taiwanese, Hong Kongese, British, Americans, Brazilians etc]. What's needed is to stop the low quality indigenous production line, which only runs because of the taxpayer subsidy AND stop the low quality immigration by selling the citizenships to high value imports.
Merely giving away my hard work is quite annoying. I worked building water supply dams, power stations and stuff and now find newbies just fly in hoik on the pavement, turn on the lights and taps and use my water and electricity, roads and hospitals, universities, and stuff which I worked at and paid for. Then there's not enough to go around so I have to pay again for more of what I've already built, which there was enough of for the people who were already here.
I don't just invite immigrants to come and live in my house, use my water and electricity, living room and kitchen without payment. I see no reason to do it for the country, which is just a bigger house which we all share in NZ.
