Kerry will not be weak on defense. That's ridiculous.
He will get a lot more done withmore brains and less cost and huge weapons systems. He will take care of the vets, soldiers and their families but cut Bush's plane for a new generation of nuclear weapons and probably SDI too, unless someone can prove it actually might work. Kerry has said he will temporarily add 40,000 troops. So the net result with be a wash in terms of the defense budget. 40,000 more troops and better benefits instead of huge nuclear and SDI programs which cost tens of billions.

As for raising taxes, he will roll back the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans until we pay off some of the Bush debt. He will also raise taxes on those who ship jobs overseas. If that's raising taxes, fine, then you're right on that score.
