You're talking about votes cast 25 years ago, some of which Kerry has already said he regrets. More recently he has oted for the biggest defense budgets of all time. Others back in the 80's were the smart votes. Voting against MX Missiles and B2 bombers was smart as hell. Those were HUGELY expensive programs we didn't need. B2's cost 2 BILLION apiece and the cost overruns were enormous. Kery would rather fully fund the soldiers and vets needs than huge unnecessary weapons systems like Bush's new nukes program and SDI which doesn't even work. What's with Bush spending 12 billion on SDI when it doesn't even function yet? Bush spends recklessly on defense. plus the defense budget's full of pork and they let Hallibvurton types take us to the cleaners.
