Financial industry titans, tax regulators and pro-industry legislators regularly work together to advance business interests. Unfortunately, consumers and taxpayers are rarely as organized or well represented in Congress, state legislatures, before regulatory agencies or in the courts, and the demohacks have sold their soul to the political devil you make such a stupid and unthinking comment. More than ever, there is a critical need for consumers to be heard and to have a real voice and a significant role in the legislative and regulatory decision-making process on financial issues.
