If that article is to be believed, the feds are using the interstate commerce clause in the Constitution to justify banning medicinal marijuana whose use will be intrastate. Unbelievable. A grotesque expansion of federal power that any conservative HAS to oppose. Have you ever looked at the side effects of some of the new drugs they're coming out with? That is, those that are used for chronic diseases. What's the saying, if the cure doesn't kill ya...... Depends. Suppose your choice is very likely a heart attack within a year, or drugs that lower cholesterol and raise the HDL/LDL ratio, making that heart attack very unlikely, but the drugs, given 10 or 15 years, stand a good chance of killing your liver. Which would be your choice? Back to pot: Like any psychoactive substance, it has side effects. They seem pretty mild compared to death due to slow malnutrition. Another example of "Which choice is better?"
