>>Kerry is very different from Carter. He's a lot tougher inside and this is a different time.<<<

Kerry is a lot more bitter and sullen than Carter who was able to portray himself innocently as a fresh face back in 76. The real prune face Kerry will come out when he is pressed on his very liberal voting record, his waffling on defense, the bimbo incident which will resurface, his misstreatment of fellow VietVets, and his huge wealth.

Its amazing the emergence of this candidate from just a couple months ago when he was down double digits, with Dean now in flames. The true motives of the Dem kingmakers are yet to be revealed. The power struggle behind the scenes in the Dem party this year is tumultuous.

What i'm sure they've considered is that a Mass lib, Mass politicos have dominated the Dem presidential scene since 1960,with 25% of potential slots, is just not electible. Kerry with anyone else than a southerner or someone from the heartland on the ticket is total political suicide. Why they chose this route this year and how they attempt to move Kerry to the center will be an interesting revelation.
