Kerry is not perfect as a candidate. He is from Massachusetts. He voted against the Gulf War (something he regrets). He has dated Hollywood starlets when single (some people might admire that though). He also made a few too many dovish votes back in the Reagan era. But he has been tough in so many other ways that it's okay, and he's changed, evolved. He's not a dove anymore, he's tough and just smart about it. No wars for political purposes or oil grabs like Bush. But defending the US, don't worry.
