Dermot, The geezer Amelio restructured the company in such a way that is commendable. Apple is not cash poor, quality of product improved, and product is out the door on time. I feel Amelio set the stage.....and should be applauded. Would I like to see him stay as CEO. No, he doesn't have the charisma, passion, or technology expertise needed at Apple at this time.

Regarding Jobs, no one man can excel at all aspects of running a corporation. However if one is astute enough, he will handpick the right people to do the job. That is precisely what I feel Jobs is doing...and who better to drive that point home, Larry Ellison, Job's best friend.'
