Yeah.. if you're a Baathist sympathiser, then I guess you might perceive the new police and military as "collaborators".

But if you're the new police and military, they would perceive the Baathists as being the true traitors to Iraq.

And they certainly would perceive anyone who would commit a suicide bombing against civilians as being a terrorist.

In which case, the ones with the bigger guns and most money and willpower will win..

But what you have to decide is what side you're going to be willing to back. IMO, we're trying to create a government that will be stable, yet answerable to the people of Iraq.

I don't have a problem with folks like Al-Sistani placing political pressure upon the IGC to speed up the election process so long as they don't resort to violence..

But obviously you believe that the side that resorts to terrorism and targeting civilians deliberately should be the ones who govern in Iraq.
