France, Canada going into Haiti with us! With UN approval! Just heard this on NPR. It can't be, can it? I mean I've heard all this rhetoric about how Bush has RUINED ALL of our alliances.

I mean what PO'd estranged former allies can be left? Britain, Australia, Poland, Spain, Japan, and a bunch of smaller countries are helping us in Iraq. NATO has troops in Afghanistan. Now France and Canada are cooperating with the US in a peace keeping mission in Haiti. Now who does that leave? Russia, maybe?

BTW I'm sure that since France and Canada and the UN are on board, the usual critics will refrain from criticizing Bush re. the Haiti intervention, right?
