There is no such things as UAW jobs. Jobs are jobs, BC. We have jobs in Charter schools which are non-unionized. Those teachers have no reason to be unionized since they feel that they are part of the organization which employs them. Kerry does not talk about UAW jobs even though the AFCIO has supported him. He talks about "job opportunities" that a President should create. Not jobs as such but opportunities where a person can go and get a job. So in that environment of "oppotunity" you could get a UAW job or a non-UAW job. None the same it is a job.
