EK, 7000 sounds dangerous. that would tell a different story about what's really going on here...(like anybody really knows for sure). but usually the market gives back a third, to a half, of the gains in a run-up. we've run-up 2000 points since april. a third, puts us back around 7600...about where we are now. if we wind up giving back half, that's more like 7300...which is quite likely. 7000 would say "bear market". the fundamentals are still too good for that... aren't they ? (he asked nervously) J.
