I believe I heard Omar Sharif also say that he had both Muslim and Jewish grandchildren....and that they all get along.

I sometimes wonder if more exchanges like this - even intermarriage between the two cultures, is one answer.

I know this will upset purists, but it has worked in the USA to some degree.

In the US South, many people have Native American blood. It is hard to hate part of yourself.

And in the end - we are all human anyway. One humanity. Not American, or Jewish, or Muslim, or Iraqi - just human.
