Because the most important aspect now is to be able to get all these scarce goods (that are priced in USD) as cheaply as possible. Remember Coxe's point?

I remember it but I do not buy it. Not NOW. I think the most important thing for China is selling manufactured goods. They do not want to re-peg for that reason.

If and when China's economy becomes self sustaining....
That is when the shit hits the fan (AND we will be BITCHING to high heavens about them re-pegging!)
