Jim Caviezel who portrays Jesus was struck once and assistant director Jan Michelini was struck once, but Michelini was also struck by lightning in Italy while making another movie. My mom saw Caviezel on TV Sunday where he was relating when Gibson hired him for the role. He reminded Gibson that his initials were JC and he was 33 years old.
