I have several friends who are large north end/Wright park area Tacoma landlords and they are in shock. Many of their best long term tenants have moved out, really in the 2H, 2003: bought houses, 15-20% vacancy rates. Just a sub-component and sideshow of the whole easy money Train Wreck thang. They've also been getting some brutal new energy bills,etc. This industry can't readily pass it on, so there is a squeeze on for them.
