I take this as proof, backed up by all evidence from this long and sordid history, that sending U.S. soldiers into Haiti never fixes anything.

Actually, there are several ways that this could be taken.. That the power elite in Haiti are so deeply rooted that they can reclaim power when the foreign troops leave, or that few people perceive Haiti as worth investing time and money in.. (and that would be quite racist).

But at least it's more than we did in Ruwanda, isn't it?

So Jacob... are you going to take responsibility for the bloodshed that will result in Haiti should we demand all foreign forces leave Haiti?
