Actually Bush promised us a hydrogen future, just put it off 20 years until he's already stinking rich from the oil cronies and retired. If you research it, there are challenges, but it can be done. Certainly if we can go to Mars we can find a cleaner way to produce hydrogen fuels, and other clean fuels and create hundreds of thousands of new jobs in the process. Right now hybrid is the way to go. We are going to need to build greater infrastructure and vastly improve current technology for it to work.

If we do not do this, or wait until it is too late, that will be much more expsensive in the long run. One more war about oil in the ME could be our doom. Lucky thing Saddam didn't have WMD's because he could have used them if he'd had them. And Iraq of course is really all about oil. As was Kuwait and the Saudi problem which created OBL and Al Qaida. We can also reduce mega tons of pollution this way.

Of course if you want to remain hooked on Arab oil, go ahead and vote for Bush. He will definitely promote oil and other polluting fuels, and his cronies will gouge us all they can while we consume the stuff.
