Note to the board from Lance Lewis:

"I'm not sure where the misconception came from that I was short gold shares from a lot lower, but I've seen it numerous place. I have a record that is easily verified and viewable through my columns.

"I have been long the golds from the lows back in late 2000 and have avoided every major correction (june-july of 2002 and jan-march of 2003). I was long the gold shares from the March low as I've stated in my columns up until early October, at which point I sold out of them due to concerns about overvaluation, speculation, and general stock market vulnerability. I was 2 months early, as the rally continued into Dec 1, but the golds have since all returned to the levels where I sold them or are lower in many cases.

"I went short GFI and HMY in late october although I covered them both in December. They have since both traded lower than where I sold out of them in early October AND where Ii shorted them in late October. Since that time, I was short GG and NEM from the first couple days in January until the second week of so of Jan (can't remember exactly) where I covered both after catching a nice decline. At the moment, I am only short SIL (at 22.5 back in mid Jan) and FCX as of Friday. I have never been short the gold or silver shares other those times that I have listed. I''m not perfect, and I get lots of things wrong all the time, but thus far, I've been pretty right on gold. Credit should be given where credit is due."

Crusty talking here ... my memory ain't always so good, but when it's jogged, I can vouch for whether things are true or not. I can vouch for Lewis properly laying-out his record in the note above. His is the only newsletter I read daily.

Regards to All.
