Hi Mary! I agree with your description of the past inflow of immigrants. Today is a different story. There are a lot of useless immigrants seeking only the easy goodies governments lavish on their citizens.

This causes a backlash against immigrants who are seen - as MQ points- as comnpeting with the locals for the goodies delivered to the locals.

I advocate mass migration as a guy applying for a job in Arizona, an American applying for a job in Malaysia, a Thai aplying to a job in Japan, a Japanese in Russia and so it goes. And that I can tell you, is going to be implemented sooner or later. Just watch.

Just like that: match the rework with the person willing to do it at an agreed price. If the guy likes the place, the people, he may end up settling there, buying real estate, putting kids to school and live there.

In fact the US HB-1 visa was such a deal as "Green Card" program for Germany. What is NOT going to work is to try to get - as some simple unrealistic minds thing- only Barishnikov and Navratilova and keep the others out.

Just look what happen when Bush blocked foreigners and HB-1 is being curtailed: Jobs are being outsourced.
