I see the situations as very different.
One of the big things that stands out re. Nazi Germany in anyone's mind was its attempts to wipe off the face of the earth those it regarded as subhuman (Jews and Gypsies immediately and in future years, the Slavs of eastern Europe). Now moving to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it is clear to me that the side most likely to commit genocide is not the Israeli side.

Frankly, given the popularity of classic Nazi-era anti-semitic books, movies, and other propaganda in the Arab world, the parallel to Nazi Germany is far stronger there. There is a LOT I could post on this subject if I wished. For example, the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion", an anti-semitic forgery which was a favorite of Hitler, was adapted into a TV drama in Egypt a year and a half ago and was aired in 22 middle eastern countries.
