Today I received the cookbooks I ordered...........thanks to all for the recommendations! They appear to be full of many different foodstuffs. There are even recipes for homemade Polish sausage..........something I might dare to try. The main spices in Polish sausage are garlic and marjoram. I can get plenty of fresh garlic and can easily plant the marjoram as I grow many spices in my back yard. It'll be planted within the week! Today I had a 120 mile roundtrip commute so I don't have much time or mind to check the books out closely. I did notice many mushrooms recipes and the sausage. Also the guhwumpky is actually spelled Golabki( the "a" has a short tail on it in Polish). If there is a recipe in the "Treasured Polish Recipes" book that you would like me to look up for you just let me know. Pat
