I think the key is whether Kerry drops the yankee reticence and gives voters a feel for who he is (as Edwards has done effectively).

I think Gore lost cause even on election day, nobody knew who the hell he was, Kerry has to avoid that. A little humility would help, too, voters are suckers for humility.
