This is truly a "you can't win" situation. Bush criticized for not doing anything. Criticized for doing something. France on board. Canada on board. Aristide's support was clearly corruption-based and he would have been killed if the US and its allies had done nothing. I encourage the conspiracy theorists of SI to tell us the real reason for this coup. CH has suggested (tongue in cheek) that it was "oil." Perhaps proximity to Venezuala? Is there a Mossad connection? Little Jewish nukes for future 9/11 attacks hidden in Cheney's Haliburton locker at the train station? A way to insure Bush re-election? Osama hidden in Port au Prince? Pave the way for potential Jewish president of France? Pave the way for potential Jewish president of US? Kerry? There has to be more to this!!!!
