You can be sure that Clinton thought about the problems and benefits of his actions in regard to Haiti.

One can hope, but one can't be sure.

After all, this was one of his first major foreign policy actions. Beign governor of Arkansas isn't exactly a platform for understanding foreign policy.

And since even later in his administration he didn't seem so sure about the problems and benefits of bombing an aspirin (or maybe a baby food) factory, or of not taking possessionof Bin Laden when he had the chance, we can't automatically assume that he was all that astute about the problems and benefits of his foreign relations actions.

Not that I am interested in refighting the battle over Clinton as President. But you made a statement that needs to be questioned.

So you've had your say and I've had mine so let's not get into a spitting match about this. It's past history, and there are enough current problems on the table to deal with.
