Yes, Reagan signed the Garnes St.Germaine Act and proclaimed "This is a great day for free enterprise in America!". That deregulatory act freed the S+L's to go hog wild and cost this country 400 billion dollars we still haven't paid off. Free enterprise is only good to a point. Everyone wants to be free to make a living, but we need to regulate any business which would otherwise prey on the public, consumers, environment or the treasury. That includes the energy cartel in Texas and its man octopus like arms which have been gouging us ever since GW Bush was nominated.
