I have felt for awhile that either an outside event, such as a middle east crises,or a slow down in earnings would stall this market.I don't think inflation will do it because the bond market vigilantes will drive rates up in anticipation of a problem. In that sense we are in a new era.Greenspan can stay above the fray perhaps. But an earnings warning from INTC,MSFT,G and KO,really should screw up the S&P averages. Here we have it.And rates will stay unnecesarily high because of the inflation threat that never materializes. In any case I've been bullish since '90 and bought heavily on every dip since then. This time I'm waiting for a bigger dip.
